February 24 - "Speaking" her mind

Well, Teah has officially picked up one baby sign. Really I hadn't planned on teaching her any - or perhaps I thought it would be cool, but just never found time to figure it out. Anyway, I stumbled upon the baby sign for "more" while at a playdate. So, the last month or so I've been making the sign everytime I say the word "more" during her mealtimes. Today, when I said more, she made the sign with her hands! I don't know why, but it is just so cute to see babies use sign language. Of course, I don't know any more signs myself besides that one and "drink", but two signs is better than none :) Teah's communication skills are really taking off. Her first word was dog, although she says "daw". Today, she pointed at a car in the parking lot and said "Gar". very cool

February 20th - She's a bit Shy

It's so much fun to see your child's personality start to show through. Teah is just so funny. If I'm singing a song, she'll "sing" along, but only if she thinks no one is really listening. Her idea of singing is just a quieter more elongated version of her babbles. When I ask her to "sing a song", she looks at me and gives a shy little smile, then makes a quiet little sound for a few seconds, then looks at me as if to say, "was that it?" with the shy little smile again. I wish I could describe it better - she's so cute! We'll have to try to get that on video :)

February 17 - The Ball Pit

It was a big evening for Teah! The whole family went to Odyssey Fun World and Teah had her first experience in a ball pit. To call it an obsession might be an understatement - she never wanted to leave and everytime we'd walk by the ball pit again she would point and grunt and cry if she had to :) Mom & Dad even went down the twisty slides :0 lol

February 16 - Mischief in the Air

Boy, Teah gets cuter and cuter everyday. Today I was lying on the floor in the basement and she was playing. Then she walked over to me and laid down on the floor next to me and sort of peeked up - it was so adorable :) She's also becoming a bit mischevious in her toddler days. I accidentally left the cell phone charger plugged into the wall and Teah found it and was playing with it. Now she knows she's not supposed to play with it... I turned around the corner and saw her and said "Teah". She immediately dropped the cord and bolted across the room - ha!
